The client proposed an elevated pool deck on Upper Ground Floor, as a new social heart of the home. Capturing the panoramic northern views of Cape Town City Bowl and the Northern sun, while using lush perimeter planting that enhances privacy and creates a contained atmosphere.
Taking advantage of the property’s natural slope, the design accommodates a generously deep pool above the existing driveway, while providing comfortable headroom below. Beneath the deck, a domestic quarter is incorporated to optimise the new space.
The architectural language draws inspiration from classical design principles, expressed through a refined street façade. Delicate detailing reflects the client’s personal style and elevates the home’s overall presence.
This addition reimagines the street frontage, giving the house a renewed sense of elegance and individuality that speaks directly to the client’s taste and lifestyle.
