This space, split into a mezzanine over a larger volume, was purchased by two entrepreneurs, each operating a distinct business from the premises. One is a frail-care training facility, while the other is a legal advisory and recruitment office. Making provisions for this duality was the first point of departure in this refurbishment.
A comfortable divide between the classroom and office levels is incorporated through sound attenuation measures. Natural light is maximized through new windows and thoughtful architectural detailing, such as 'light chimneys' that intriguingly share daylight between the split levels.
The design reflects a warm, industrial, and minimalist character that complements the existing building. A light and airy palette, enhanced by subtle corporate accents, defines each company’s space.
